SCREENSHOTS – Homeworld Remastered

The original Homeworld came out when I was about 12 years old. Video games were coming off 2D sprites into the then primitive world of graphic cards and polygons. Big name IP's were just being born, including the titan Half-Life and its Counter-Strike mod along with names like Silent Hill and Rainbow Six.

Homeworld is a 3D space based RTS, and has a flavor no one has been able to copy. Even a decade and a half later I was looking forward to reliving the feelings of despair as your civilization is destroyed, the realization you're related to the zealous hermits, to the eerie mystery of derelict ships and gravity wells.

Now, last month a dedicated team of beautiful people have released a remastered Homeworld 1 and 2, including enhanced graphics, remastered sound, and remastered cutscenes. Ship designs remain the same and are fantastic in their visual update, including the iconic vertical Hiigaran Mothership you lovingly travel with.
